How We Grow

We wholeheartedly believe in the importance of land stewardship, knowing where the foods and goods you buy come from, and that having a farmer-customer relationship is essential.

Unfortunately, more than 80% of flowers purchased in the United States are grown overseas, where many are raised using dangerous pesticides, herbicides, and fungicides. Many are grown on farms where workers have substandard conditions and wages. Similarly, imported mushrooms have these same pitfalls. By the time these products make it to your dining table, they have racked up thousands of miles in transport, meaning a large carbon footprint and reduction in freshness.

Buying local from us means beautiful blooms and mushrooms with no harsh chemicals, exploitation of labor, or large carbon footprints. We grow quality over quantity using organic practices in alignment with the Slow Flowers and Localvore movements.
